Start with a photo and an invitation
Put a favorite pet photo in a birthday card, with a note inviting them to make a little game character together. Choose a picture with clear markings, or let the owner pick one. Their choice is part of the experience.
In Pawsies for iPhone, the resulting pet can eat, drink, rest, and play. The photo becomes an AI-generated pixel character, rather than a still birthday illustration.
Let the owner make it theirs
Try the free demo pet first. If they enjoy the routine, they can create their own companion and arrange its room. A familiar room photo is another option, separate from pet creation.
A useful birthday plan is to sit together for the first visit: choose the photo, meet the character, and find a toy or a spot for its bowl. Keep the invitation open if they prefer choosing the picture later.
Know what you are giving
This is a shared activity, not a transferable Pawsies purchase. The app does not currently offer gift links, gift checkout, or creation credits you can send to another account. Personalized pets and rooms use optional in-app purchases on the recipient's device, with the price shown before confirmation.
Check that they use an iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. You can present the idea and try the included experience together without promising a particular likeness or creation time. That makes the birthday surprise an invitation to play, with the decision to personalize left to them.
